Why Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother 'Why are you crying?' 'Because I'm a woman' she told him.
'I don't understand' he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said:
'And you never will.'

Later the little boy asked his father 'Why doesMother seem to cry for no reason?'
'All women cry for no reason' was all his dad couldsay.

The little boy grew up and became a man stillwondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the Phone he asked 'God, why do women cry so easily?'

God said:
'When I made the woman she had to be special.
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry theweight of the world yet gentle enough to give comfort
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth andthe rejection that many times comes from her children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep goingwhen everyone else gives up,
And take care of her family through sicknessand fatigue with out complaining.
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children underany and all circumstances,
even when her child has hurt her very badly.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband neverhurts his wife but sometimes tests her strengths
and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
And finally' I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.'

'You see my son' said God 'the beauty of a woman isnot in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries
or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides.'

this is so touching, so true. women cry sometimes becos the men (in their lives) do not understand them. if i had met u as a young single girl with the naivety of that age, and u gave me those words (refering to ur comment). i would have cried. but now i just wonder why men dont get women... am still wondering

Isi, a book I read tells me 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus'. I found it to be quite on the mark.

I really like that post. God knew what he was doing. He is the master craftsman after all. To be honest i would not want a man to understand me fully, we are meant to be complicated and mysterious.

Jinta said...

@ For the love - Thanks for asking

@ Isi - That's my motto. Not always successful though

@ Nicky - 'complicated and mysterious' without effort

That was a nice one to read. I must share this with my sons some day when they are old enough to comprehend. It will definitely be helpful for them...

BTW, Thanks for swinging by the blog!

@ jaycee - thanks
@ afrobabe - Don't I know it
@ isi - You're going to get me into troublo o! Let's just say it goes against the grain sometimes when I decide to 'obey', which may build up some resentment
@ solo - I hope your sons have better luck than me

My advice to men is to stop trying to work us out. Its really quite simple. Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood. as for men when you are in love you tend to endure more than at other times; you submit to everything.

Jinta said...

@ pam - thanks

@ nicky - how true nicky. Do women truly fall in love though, or are they just incurable romantics who will be sweet until scorned?
(Before anyone tears me to pieces, please o, this is just an academic question!)

Joy Isi Bewaji said...

jinta? are u there? can i get an update?... or atleast an analysis on the result of the last vox-pop? how r u doing?

Joy Isi Bewaji said...

jinta, women do fall in love. we are helpless romantics- yes! we love, sometimes, with our eyes closed. we seek 'perfection'. we want our men to love us with as much passion as we love them.
its a hard task for the man, especially since loving her 'passionately' could mean given up some of his 'machismo'. and deep down women do not like their men losing this trait. but we do not like to accept this- as women. we think we want him tender, soft, calm.... when infact we want him to be 'manly' in every sense of the word...

it is a complex issue... women are complex beings.
do not try to understand us because if you try too hard, and you begin to decipher our essence, you may become like one of us, and ur 'maleness' will be compromised... then u become a bore in our sight... and sometimes, well, a nuisance.

knowing too much of a woman rarely helps any man.
why should he know sef? what is the intrigue, fun and excitement in knowing the opposite sex wholly?!

i like my man a little confused. i like to see his face light up when we get to the brass task of unravelling some of my 'mystery'.

so it is ok to remain bewildered by the woman.
it is a good sign that u haven't lost ur 'maleness'. and that is what we like.

ok, can u tell that i am bored? my prolics surely confirms dat... lets spice up this blog a little hehehehehehe *evil laughter*

She's crying because she can, she's a woman (1st paragrah) and, its her exclusive tear to shed when she wants (penultimate paragraph) I use my exclusive tear to get my own way!

I second Isi's comment. Im bored too.

Jinta, more blogs please!

Ive found the answer. We cry because we are impossible to please!

Read this email I received.

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item fro m a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs.

She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the si gn reads:
Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.

'That's nice', she thinks, 'but I want more.'

So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

And thats why men never cry, they are very easily pleased.

@ solomon - update dey come shortly, the ride's ok, not that I notice any difference, however, I will live longer now that the computer has stopped beeping each time I start the car and showing me how many days it had been since I needed to service it.
@ anonymous gal - prerogative
@ isi - I'm here, and soon. I like your comment. Translation: we can't win. Some of us always knew that we would have to metamorphose when you say you want to see us being 'sensitive' and, at the same time, indicate that you like that chemical, testosterone, pumping within us
@ lulu - liked yours, I park there a lot of the time
@ catwalq - cos she can
@ nicky - dare I agree with you?

Jinta said...

@ nicky - I will not even go to the 2nd floor - 'easily pleased' with the 1st.

Laspapi - maybe you should visit.
